Montreal – Well, this has to be one of the cutest bakeshops around. Rustique Pie Kitchen, with its whitewashed wooden panelling, filament lighting encased in whisks and pedestal displays of old-timey desserts — brownies, blondies, peanut brittle, Hello Dollies — was opened a couple of months ago by partners Jacqueline Berman, Ryan Bloom and Tamera Clark. A rotating roster of some 20 types of pies — from seasonal fruits to coconut cream to lemon meringue — can be ordered with 48 hours notice.
